Got this kit for my Toshiba Satellite A505-S6973 and didn't face any problems, it's a 5min job and well worth it if you really want to experience the difference between 4GB and 8GB on a laptop.

I installed this memory kit in a Dell Latitude E6400 (Windows 7 x64 professional) that had 4GB. The machine's performance index is literally identical, but I am now able to keep pretty much everything running at the same time without worrying about choking the machine. For example, being able to keep multiple copies of Visual Studio 2010 running instead of opening and closing projects multiple times through the day on a single copy. Or not having to worry about memory usage when testing requires multiple browser apps open at the same time. It was a very cost effective upgrade.
Packaging: the memory ships snapped into a thick sheet of plastic and it can be hard to pry it off. It almost worried me about harming the memory sticks trying to get them out. In previous packaging I have seen the memory is kept in place in a way that there is no stress on the memory cards when you pry the packaging open.

From the average user's perspective, most memory either works or it doesn't. I'm here to let you know this worked well in my HP 2530p Elitebook notebook.
