5.0 out of 5 stars iMac (mid 2011) Compatible, August 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
Apple charges between $200 and $600 for a RAM upgrade. You can do this easily at home with minimal knowledge and save BIG $$$.
This is one of Apple's OEM hardware choices; it performs impeccably, meets all specifications, will not void your warranty and you will notice $$$ well spent difference.

Works flawlessly in a Mid 2011 27" iMac 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR iMac BUYERS:

iMac RAM SLOTS ARE VERY VERY VERY TIGHT (one of the tightest that I have seen). These are LOW PROFILE sticks, which means that they will be seated well into your iMac. Upon install they will "click" into place approximately 3-5mm deeper than the other RAM in place, you will need to go in another 2-3mm. Start on one side and wiggle it in, you will have to push. AGAIN, THE iMac's HAVE SOME OF THE TIGHTEST SLOTS.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect! ?!$&ing Blazing Fast! Go for 16GB! 2011 iMac21.5", August 10, 2011

So this ram is identical to what you'll be pulling out. Its also a very tight fit :) Remember how hard it is when you pull the first ram module out as a gauge for how hard it will be to push the others back in. I found it easiest to push the top one in first and then pushing in the bottom one, almost bracing steady against the first. However doing the bottom first could give you more room for you fat fingered folk. If you get a loud medium toned "beep", then they are not pushed in all the way. Enjoy saving yourself $425 from what Mr. Job's charges for this upgrade! So easy a Caveman could do it.

5.0 out of 5 stars No brainer for Lenovo X220, June 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Samsung MV-3T4G4 4GB DDR3 Laptop SDRAM (1333MHz PC3-10600) (Personal Computers)
I have purchased Lenovo X220 with 4GB installed. Max RAM supported is 8GB, so after doing careful research I selected Samsung RAM.

After opening the computer (3 labeled screws on the bottom) I found almost identical module inside - the only difference is that Lenovo Samsung module is made in China, and Amazon's Samsung module is made in Korea.

So far so good - everything works, no freezes or any other signals of upcoming cataclysm. Just as expected from OEM RAM.

To sum it up: X220 with 8GB from Lenovo - extra $160. 4GB module from Amazon - $47.99. $112 saved with no downsides. It is a no brainer at these prices.
