I have been a loyal customer of Corsair memory for eight years. And for one reason: Corsair is the best. I used these DIMMs in my most recent build and once again, Corsair has come through. These puppies snapped in and the computer booted without a hitch. I went with air cooling on this build using the Cooler Master V8 and it worked perfectly with this memory. I was a bit worried these DIMMs wouldn't fit in the first socket of the motherboard with this monster sized cooler. But it fit just perfect and looks great. Just make sure to install the DIMMs first before the cooler. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) and programs all run super smooth and quick. I haven't tried overclocking yet as I am quite satisfied with the stock speed. The blue anodized color is also a plus for designer systems. Looks great sitting in my Asus P8P67 motherboard. As always, Corsair comes through with a rock solid, reliable, and top quality product. And kudos to Amazon for the great pricing... Read more

I used this memory on a Gigabyte P67A-UD7-B3 motherboard with an Intel i7-2600K processor to build a Hackintosh. I was getting weird errors while running Lightroom or while compiling packages. I installed the excellent memtest program for MacOS X (search for the free version), ran it in single user mode and discovered that one of the DIMMs was bad.

I entered an RMA through Corsair's web site and had it assigned to someone within an hour. Since they were close to me I gave them a call to see if I can drop by and pick up the replacement memory. The customer rep told me I have to bring all 4 memory sticks, not just the bad one, since they don't have individual memory sticks to send out. This could be a major hassle if you need to ship the memory to them and wait for the replacement to come back, since you won't be able to use the computer. In my case I ended up driving to their office and picked up the replacement memory. Total down time was 4 hours.

I incorporated this RAM into a new computer build that I recently completed. For reference, I'm using an ASUS Corsshair V 990FX motherboard. AMD 1100T Hex Core (3.3Ghz) processor. EVGA GTX 570 HD video card.

The RAM sticks along with their heat sinks installed easily. I had no space issues. Everything is working fine (thankfully). No complaints. The price was right as well. The computer supply stores on Pricewatch had lower quality RAM for $30 more than the $90 that I paid for this setup through Amazon. I highly recommend it.

16Gb might even be a bit overkill at the moment given the system requirements of the newest games currently on the market. But, I built this computer with the idea that it will still be a "good" system 4-5 years from now.
